Pardus is a free graphic-based Massive Multiplayer Online Browser Game (MMOBG), also known as a Persistent Browser Based Game (PBBG). Set in a futuristic universe, traders, pirates, smugglers and other pilots of various professions, races and factions strive to gain wealth and fame in space.ou may want to build your wealth in the economic stability of a well-populated and well-developed sector, or you might risk everything to be a pioneer in the outermost regions of space. You may find yourself outfitting your first fighter ship to help rid the universe of the numerous creatures lying in wait for unwary prey - or perhaps you will be hunting for prey of your own.In Pardus there exist so-called Action Points (APs). Every action you perform in the game, from movement to trade and combat, uses up APs. Your APs will slowly refresh over the day; you receive 24 every 6 minutes, or 5760 per day, up to a maximum of 5000. Two five-minute logins per day will be theoretically enough to advance your character at maximum efficiency.

There are six types of planets in Pardus, sorted by planet class: M, I, D, G, R, A. A planet's class specifies its type of produced and consumed commodities, which is important to know when participating in universal economy.
The most common planets are class M, like the one you started on; they look like planet Earth. Planets are public places; most galactic activities take place on, between or around them. Many sectors contain one, some even two.Every new player chooses a race and a starting location. This choice is irreversible, short of deleting your character and starting another, but no race gets any relevant bonus that cannot be achieved eventually by members of other races.
