Cantr

CantrCantr II is an online role-playing game, in which a large number of players play an even larger number of characters who all together form different societies all over our virtual world. Societies exist in different languages, whereby all language groups play in the same virtual world.Playing always from the perspective of each individual character, you can try to play the worlds most famous politician, most feared criminal, most cunning military commander, most wealthy entrepreneur, or most beloved village idiot.Cantr II is probably unlike most other online games you`ve played. The idea is to simulate the development of societies - there is roleplay allowed; there is building allowed ; there is violence allowed - but none of those three things is the end goal of the game.

Browser Game Review

Many players only play for a few minutes per character each day and one meeting can take a week to play. The game is designed for players who have more on their agenda than just gaming. However, you can start up to fifteen characters and when they are all heavily involved in their respective communities, they will give you enough to do for a full-time job as player.Cantr II is set in a fairly realistic world. The technology level is strange - it is possible to build cars and radios in a world where a state-of-the-art tool is likely to be a pitchfork - but there is no magic of any kind built into the game.the in-game economy and laws are entirely determined by the players. The game`s code provides the means to produce physical objects; what you do with those is not (and will not be) coded. No social structure will be coded. No concept of ownership will be coded. No rules or laws will be coded, beyond some limitations on violence. The two requirements imposed by the game are that characters need to eat, and that death is final and permanent.
