Allegiance is a free, online, multi-player space simulation game. You pilot spacecraft, flying in a team with other players, defending and attacking sectors in space. Allegiance challenges your tactical ingenuity, your ability to function in a team and your prowess at blowing stuff up.Invest in success. Choose to play conquest games, where development and management of crucial resources are keys to your success. Progress through a rich technology tree full of unique weapons like sniper rifles, advanced bases like the deadly shipyard, and specialized spacecraft like the Assault Ship.
The commander will invest in constructors and get his team to escort them to new sectors where they will build new stations. Pilots will attempt to destroy enemy constructors to deny their expansion, and kill enemy miners so they cannot afford new ones. Excess funds are spent on new technologies such as better ships and equipment, and the team will use these to destroy enemy bases. The game is ended once one team destroys all of their opponents' technology bases. Any player can access the top-down strategic overview, giving them a full view of what's going on in the game. This allows would-be commanders to get a bird's eye perspective of the game and to issue strategic and tactical objectives to teammates and mining drones.Factions are Allegiance’s “races”. The different factions are the first variable in the complexity equation. Each faction – and there are currently eight in the main core (mod) – has a unique flavour or theme. For example the Iron Coalition are the beefcake warmongers who rely on strength at the cost of stealth whilst the Belters are a group of scavenging pirates whose flexibility makes up for their poor taste in ship design and handling.
